Susan Crowley, 2011 LPGA National Teacher of the Year, has more than eighteen years experience teaching and coaching players of all ages and skill levels. Susan has been honored as LPGA Western Section Teacher of the Year and has the distinction of being named one of the top ten Teaching Professionals in Northern California by Nor Cal Golf Guide.
She is very excited to continue her teaching career at Blackhawk Country Club.
Playing golf since age 6, with her parents. She played on the AJGA junior tour, then furthered her playing career at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina. Susan turned professional in 1997 and is a Class A Member of the LPGA.
Susan has shown her leadership in the golf industry by serving on the LPGA National Global Education team and was the Director of the LPGA Practical Teaching Evaluation team. She is a US Kids Certified Instructor and is the Site Director for the LPGA USGA Girls Golf Club for The First Tee of the East Bay and Danville. Susan has found a real passion in teaching young girls the game of golf through the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Programs. These programs are designed to introduce girls to the game of golf so they develop a long-term love for the game of golf.
Susan is also a member of the esteemed Proponent Group, a premiere network for elite instructors. This member network includes more than half of the GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teachers, more than 150 PGA section Teachers of the Year, more than a dozen PGA National Teachers of the Year and the owners and operators of over 50 golf academies.
Susan's dedication to better instruction is evident in seminars and coaching programs she attends every year.
